Party Bookings and Deposits

You may move your party to a later date fee free if lock down restrictions impact your party. Deposits are non refundable and cancellation and postponement because you have a change of mind, or lack of guests etc does does not entitle postponement or refund. Bookings postponed due to lockdowns are subject to fee-
If you wish to change your booking and its not related to a lockdown you will incur an admin fee plus any other out of pocket expenses fee i.e staffing, ordered food etc, a minimum of 3 weeks notice is required to move bookings. Cancellation or bookings moved with the 3 week period will incur the full balance.
Changes or postponement cannot be made after this, the full balance is payable and no refunds will be given for customer cancellation.
All refunds issued will incur an admin fee.
Menu and Attendance
Confirmed numbers and food options for all party types must be sent to Barney’s Playbarn at least two weeks before the party date this should be in writing via email is preferred. We will need to be notified of any additional guests as part of the confirmation 14 days before your party. You will still be charged full price for party guests who do not attend. If food options are not confirmed for party, options will be chosen for you. Barney’s reserves the right to make changes to menus or substitutions dependent on availability.
Only food purchased from Barney’s may be consumed on the premises. Celebration cakes are not permitted for consumption unless they have been purchased from Barneys. To help accommodate dietary requirements, please inform us of any allergies when booking the party of when confirming food choices at least 14 days before your party. Please note our food is not prepared in a Gluten/ Nut/ Dairy Free environment; although every precaution is taken cross contamination can occur. We shall try our very best to accommodate any allergens or intolerance's although sometimes this is not possible.
Play Areas
During the party we require you to have at least one responsible adult over the age of 18 in the role play village Barningtion, they must supervise the children and monitor behaviour at all times. Failure to do this will result in staff closing this area off. Unsafe, violent and abusive conduct/play will not be tolerated, breakages and damage through this conduct may result in additional fees. Our Rules of Play must be followed at all times, these can be found in house on the wall or on the website.
Cakes
You may bring a nut free cake. The introduction of Natasha’s Law (The UK Food Information Amendment) came into force on 01/10/21. This means any birthday cakes, cupcakes or party celebration cakes brought into our venues by the party organiser must be either shop bought or baked by a reputable baker/cake maker. By law these suppliers will have to supply the allergens information.
Unfortunately homemade cakes will no longer be allowed to be brought into birthday parties.
It is your responsibility as organiser of the party to ascertain any allergies that your guests may have and take appropriate action.
Information required on your cake are below:
Name of supplier (if not shop bought)
Full ingredients list, with allergenic ingredients emphasised (for example in bold, italics or a different colour).
We do not permit the cake to be consumed on the premises, staff will take the cake away to slice and wrap for you guests to take home. If you would like your child to blow out candles we highly recommend you bring cupcakes or a separate family cake for this to reduce the risk of virus contamination.
Decorations
Decorations are welcome but they are to be put up with blue tac only. Balloons must be foil balloons only, for health and safety precautions we do not permit latex balloons or balloons that pose a choking hazard outside of the party room, they must be supervised at all times. If you are providing your own decorations we recommend dropping them in the day before so staff can set them up. Early admission is not permitted.
External Entertainers
Outside companies such as magicians etc must be agreed by management prior to the party. All external entertainers must have valid public liability insurance and DBS checks. Unfortunately we do not permit facepaint in our play areas.
