Terms & Conditions

1. Pre-booking online is recommended to guarantee entry

2. Payment at the door - You can turn up for any normal session and pay at the door without pre-booking but we cannot guarantee you a space unless you pre-book. You should always check the booking calendar well in advance (and always before the session start time), as it will show if a session is full or removed.

3. Refunds, postponement and cancellations - Please check your booking time and date carefully. Bookings made in error for the wrong session or date will not be refunded. Payment must be made in full when booking and regretfully no refunds can be given. Bookings can only be amended or moved to another date with a valid reason and with 48 hours written notice; email: info@barneysplay.co.uk.

We can postpone any normal booking if more than 48 hours notice is given prior to the session start time. We regret we cannot give refunds or postpone for no-shows or cancellations with less than 48 hours notice.

Bookings moved may incur an admin fee of £5 per move. Management decision is final. Should there be a local or national lockdown or Barney's have to close unexpectedly, your booking will be moved to the next available date when we re-open. Refunds will not be given but the date may be moved to a later time. Postponements with 48 hours notice must be rebooked and used within one month.

It is the customers responsibility to contact us via email before the session via email  info@barneysplay.co.uk to inform us of any sickness or cancellation. We cannot help retrospectively if the session has passed.

4. Booking confirmation- We have all booking details at our entrance but please bring your booking confirmation with you in case of any problems, on screen is fine.

5. Play sessions - All play sessions are now timed sessions. Due to many cleaning/sterilising tasks between sessions, please try to arrive and leave on time. Visitors are to arrive in the first 30 mins of their booked session particularly the morning session, arriving and leaving ON TIME is critical to ensure all cleaning routines can be carried out, the correct safety advice given and that visitors are not overlapping. We understand with the afternoon session and school this may not always be possible.

6. The Booking Calendar - If the calendar is green then the there are sessions running for that day. If a session is not green, that means it is fully booked or has been removed for that day.

7. Who needs to book? ALL members of your party must be booked in, including newborns and adults, as every individual is now counted for capacity controls.

8. Illness - We ask that those unwell do not attend and arrange a visit for another day.

9. Own food and drink are not permitted, only food and drink purchased on the premises are permitted.

10. Pushchairs and prams - are NOT permitted in the main building. Up to 3 can be left in the front foyer. We are a small centre and unfortunately very limited on space to safety have pushchairs in the building. We recommend bringing a baby carrier, small bassinet or car seat, alternatively please speak to staff who can provide a bouncer seat for ‘small’ babies.

11. Individual role play props - these can be checked out with staff from the coffee shop. We ask that these are checked back in at the end of your session to be sanitised, or you may be billed for them.

12. Seating and table allocation. Whilst we should always have enough seating to accommodate our new capacities, we kindly ask all customers to notify us on their booking or via email if they are meeting with someone, to avoid any seating issues. Tables are allocated prior to arrival.

13. Your data - Our booking system stores any personal data you enter to make the booking (except credit card security numbers), and your email address may be added to our communication database, but this will only be used to communicate with you either about your booking or for other topics directly related with Barney’s. You can easily unsubscribe from this by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email from us. Read our full privacy policy here.
